All they seem to do is get more populus, even with near daily water changes and minimal tank feeding. I was going to look into endlers for that tank anyway, just to have something besides the DG in there. I hear daphnia are supposed to eat them, as they're the next step in the zooplankton chain. I'm just getting tired of them forming an army and pestering my snail.

Tanks are done swapping...finally! They're 'scaped as well. I will probably be adding a few more hygros to Amun's tank and doing a little readjusting...and then there's the final 'scape on Emmett's tank to do (that one will be coming shortly), but at least they're all in their final tanks. :p

I'm not quite sure yet. I know I'll probably keep a few, but the rest I may end up selling to an LFS or putting up on aquabid or fishlore or something. Maybe send some out to people looking to fill out their danio numbers? You said you were getting rid of yours though, right?

I just noticed you have 10 total tanks with 185 gallons total now. MTS much?

Edit: Paige, you're completely ebil! (Look at your post number, 666)

What? I only have eight tanks. lol You got the number of gallons right, though. :p Here's the thing...my three biggest tanks (the 55, 46, and 29) all have species that wouldn't be compatible in one big tank. The 20gL was a kind of weird deal 'cuz I've wanted one for FOREVER as a betta fraternity, but then all the bettas I was going to put in it died except for two of them, so I decided to do something else with it (seemed like a waste with just two fish in it). Then the smaller tanks (under 10gal) are all single betta tanks.

Yeah, I'm getting rid of my leopards. I think they'll be too active for the 29gal and I REALLY want gold WCMMs, especially since Petco carries them for $2!

And yes, I'm evil. I know. :p

OH! What do you guys think about offering an aquarium 'scaping service? I love to 'scape tanks and I've been told that I'm pretty good at it, so a friend suggested I make a side job out of it.

ATTENTIONNE!! ATTENTIONNE!!

If you have a good Petsmart in the area they're having a decent sized sale this weekend. They're marking down a good chunk of their fish stock by 50%.

I think I'll get me some peppered corys. The ones they have in stock look excellent, if still small.

Great. The fish I got from my LFS on Saturday brought ich. Uuuuuugh. Time to crank up the heater and add some salts. :/

This makes me realize how much I need a QT tank for new fish.

It was pretty easy to get rid of last time I had it. If you don't mind I'm going to wait to send you that moss until I get rid of it because I'd really hate to pass it on to you or anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a DIY tank stand with a 40g breeder on top and two 10 gallons below?

I'd like to make something like this but the posts not being below the corners of the tank makes me pretty nervous...

I could make one pretty easy the 'normal' way, but I'm really set on the idea of putting two smaller tanks underneath it, and that seems to be where I'm running into problems. Any thoughts on that one link I just posted?

Support everything with 2x4 bracing underneath. (You could even recess the tanks a half inch if you wanted to go hardcore) If 2x10s can support a house, 2x4s can support a house of fish. The ugly 2x4's would be invisible since you're facing it with 1x6 and/or decorative sheet facing.

My issue is that two ten gallons end to end are 40 inches wide, and my tank is only 36, so that means that any 2x4s coming down from the corners of my main tank will go where I want to put my 10s. Tonight is really the first night I've sat down and thought about it, so I'm sure I'll figure something out. If there was a safe way to do something like the earlier link I posted that would be great, but at this point I just feel weary about it...
