Update !!!

Ok as most of you must have read that i donated my fish and now have started with the cleaning and stuff.
so here goes..

In this pic i had already removed the heater filter and half of the water. Took me about 1 hour with that tiny syphon.

In this Pic i have drained the tank and removed the pebbles.

Here is where the pain begins.. In this picture i had only removed the top trim and had to use the blade to remove all the old silicone. Pretty painfull for my fingers. I can barely type.

Now in this foto. I had removed both the trims and removed all the old silicone.

It is about 11:30 pm. And I have spray painted the trims. Will let it dry till morning. Had to spray paint outside so the fumes from the spray paint does not kill me *SUPERSMIL .

Well It is about 12:00 am and I am so tired. In the morning will check if the trims have been spray painted evenly. If not will have to do it again. If everything goes ok. Then will glue them back on the tank and will post pics later. Well Its on the way!!!. next update soon....

Ok Update time.

Somthing is not going right. Having a big problem with the sand. Well i got everything ready, glued the trims back with out any problems. Had! no no infact still having problems with salinity of the water. I think the salinity of the water is 1.022. I tried to take it up too 1.023 by adding salt but nothing happened it stayed the same. So I did not add anymore salt. As on the bag it says to add 1 cup per 2 gallons so i have already added about 11 and half cups. Well Anyways I attached the powerheads and everything important.

The picture below is the tank with out sand.

And now. I think someone sayed that there is not need of rinsing the sand. Well I rinsed it atleast 6 times and the result is below. Which is very bad. Hope it will go away. if it does not then I do not know what to do. Any suggestions. Check out the Pic It is horrible.

Ok In the 1st picture there is not Filter. but now I have a bio wheel filter working on it with out the bio wheel. But with the cartirige,. should i switch on the powerheads or not. What should I do to clear up the tank?

One more question. I am using R/o water which I about for $1.50 per 5 gallons and was wondering do I have to condition the water or will it be ok.

you may have to point the power heads in a different direction. The filter should clear the dust up a lot. it is hard to rinse sand cause it climps in water. I would give it over night, it should be clear in the AM. For the R/O question I would say no but I have not played with R/O. I know it takes 98% of crap out of the water. I would treat it if you are un sure.

Ok its time for a small update with pictures.

After my tank got all cloudy I really got pissed off. I had to do something about it. I couldn't just wait that long for it to clear. So I added some spounge to the filter and powerheads. so it will catch more particales then the cartiridge that comes with a BIO wheel filter. Well the results are below. Ohh and one more thing I also added 2 X 100 watt compact flouresent bulbs in the Hood that I had with a total od 215 watts of light. Can you tell the difference. Well Now the tank has cleared up pretty good. As for the live rock. I was supposed to get it on sunday but the guy who was to selling $5:00 per pound bailed on me. Now I am looking for another supplier. So hopefully I will get it by tomorrow. At present the temperature is at 80 F and the salinity I think is at about 1.022 - 1.023 <-- Is this ok?

One hour after adding spounge.

After 2 hours.

After 3 hours.

A close up.

The 3rd and 4th pics have the DIY lighting 210 watts. What do you think?

Can anyone suggest on where to place the heater??
