Good Luck,
Nick

BTW what type of LR?

Well they say it is cured. but still recommened curing it again. I was acutally looking for uncured but had to go with cured. It is Fiji premium live rock link below.

Fiji Live Rock: Select Premium Fiji Live Rock from Drs. Foster & Smith

Will it still help with the cycle?

i hope you get some good rock!, though i have heard a few complaints on RC about liveaquaria's fiji LR is a lot more dense and with less life than what seems to be the undisputed champion, premium aquatics.

cheers

Your scaring me... i hope you get a lot of good rock and not much bad stuff anyways i keep trying to take pic's of my tank but are camera is making them look so blurry anyways only 2 more days untill you get it.. :D

I really really really really hope that I get some really good stuff. Keep trying with the pics. Post blurry ones they will just do fine. I also have the same problem of getting nice pic. Mine always turn out blurry too. I just got an email from live aquaria. The delivery date is Oct 20 on Friday at 4:30 pm. The only problem is the time. I will be at work at that time. I will only get off at 6:00 pm. How will I wait at work for 1 and a half hours. I will probably faint at work. JK! I guess its time to pray. PLEASE GOD Help me get some good rock. Well one more thing. Yesterday I had got my temperature steady at 78 F but it has gone down this time to 76 F. Is this fluctuation of temperature ok? I am so tired of putting my hand in the tank and adjusting the heater. Is there a problem if I keep putting my hands in the water? My salinity is steady at 1.022 I think. Well will keep you update and will post a lot of pics of the rock.

Salinity is a little low should try to get it between 1.023 - 1.026, just add small amounts of salt until you hit the target range (I keep mine around 1.024)

Temp is okay in the 76- 82 range a slite fluctuation of 1 or 2 degrees is not a big deel since it will be happening over an extended period of time throught the day. I personally like to use 2 heaters of lower wattage over 1 higher wattage ,as it is easier to avoid temp fluctuations, cold/hot spots and if 1 goes on the fritz there is a less chance of boiling/chilling the tank.

Well as soon I will get off work I will try to adjust the salinity of the water as I have 2 days before I get my LR. As for the temperature I thought that it was better to have the temp at a range of 78-80 F. Thanks for the 2 heater tip. Will look in to that after I get lighting and everything ready. Onemore thing when i get the live rock do I have to add additives for the rock or will it do fine?

Oh and NO the live rock will not need any addative... would be a waste of $$$

I don't know if you understood me correctly or not. I was tallking about addition of suppliments like calcium, strontium, iodine, and trace elements or anyother elements for that matter. Thats what it said on the home page where i got my live rock from.
