I don't know if you understood me correctly or not. I was tallking about addition of suppliments like calcium, strontium, iodine, and trace elements or anyother elements for that matter. Thats what it said on the home page where i got my live rock from.

I understood sorry if I was not clear on the answer. Ya your salt mix should have all the sufficiant levels. as for once you get into corals still again if you keep up on water changes (depending on the corals you care for and how stocked the tank is) your salt mix will still be sufficiant

Ohh Ok now I got it. I have to add suppliment only when i start adding coral. But if I am doing regular water changes then I might not even need suppliments as the salt will add the suppliments back with the water change. Thanks guys I think I got it. So for the time being I dont need any suppliments. Only at a much later date.

Update: Oct-20-2006

OK People. Its friday and I already got my LIVE ROCK (22 lbs). I am so happy. It looks ok to me but have never seen live rock before. I will post some pics from work and you guys let me know what you think of the rock. I am not actually happy with the shape of the rocks but there is nothing I can do now. Anyways will post some pics later from work. Will need some help with aquascaping too! I am not good with that. Later.

Lice Rock

Ok so here are the pics of the LR. From box to tank.

This is the parcel as I received it.

Here is the Foam packing the rock came in.

Here are all the six pieces of rock that I got. I am not happy with the shape of the rocks.

This is one of the biggest rock.

This is the second biggest rock. The shape is horrible.

Now pics of the rocks in the tank. Its a little blurry so bare with me.

This is the left side of the tank.

The right side of the tank.

Ok so these are the pics of the rock. Now what do you guys think. How is the rock? Accepting suggestions on aquascaping or anything for that matter. And please tell me about the rock. Do you think it is good or not? Thanks

what i would to is take that big rock off the top on the left side and put it under the small ones...unless u want those caves

Yeah! I think I will give it a try when I go home. I don't know about the caves though. Well you know what. If I have the big rock on top I get more surface area for corals. What do you think. Even though that rock is so bad in shape. It's just annoying me! :(

I was actually thinking of the exact same thing. I will leave one big one and hammer the odd one in to 2. I will definetly do that. I have made up my mind now. Now I just wait? When should I start checking for ammonia and nitrites? Any other suggestions?

yea shoot for 8.3 or higher, multiple water changes will help with the smell, and also should help boost your ph....amonia also affects ph, so that could be one of the reasons it is so low.

I will do a 25% water change and see if it will help with the PH. I also got a PH booster. So if the PH does not change after the water change I will add the PH booster and see if it will help. Today I found a creature floating on the water. Small brown in color like a bug with many legs. Any ideas what it is?

Actually it is a chemical. I will return it. I just like short cuts. Will return it later on. The Bug is not a zoa Predetor. its a little long has 4-8 legs in front. its hard to explain. I was tring to catch in and post a pic but he vanished.
