Fish confusion

Its koo. I just was hoping that it was going to be a convict. So far so good. It hasnt tried to attack him or anything!

I just looked at her and I seen like a patch of pink on the tail(like right in front of the last spot)!

And while Im at it I just want to make sure that the smaller one is a Convict:

that smaller one right there might be a male or female. its to early to tell. hes probably only about a month and a half old. i got some that size.

your larger one...wow. im surprised it hasnt made a snack of the little guy

id say the bigger one looks to be a male. theres not a whole lot of red/pink on the belly and the fins kind of look lyre-like. males fins are more like that than females.

After looking it over i'd call it a convict. A male most likely if its not showing orange/red scales on its belly.

And just for reference, both the male and female convicts can develop pointed fins and trailers on them. When i kept them my females fins were much longer and Lyre like then the males. I just didn't want that to be like a sexing tool because it can go either way. Stick to the orange belly and you can't go wrong!

same here matt, my female convict's fins are much longer and have much longer trails then my males do. also alot more lyre tail too.

Okay. So its still early on the smaller one? The larger one is definitley a Con right. I never followed the rule about pointed fins for any fish. I always looked at coloring! Thanks every one for the help! The bigger one is actually kind of scared of the smaller one!
