Pure, what do you do to protect such an investment? I couldn't imagine a fire/flood/storm/burglary/power outtage happening to your collection of fish. I can't say I've seen any special measures taken to protect reefs, except for the battery backup pumps and those computer power back ups.

Ahhhhhh. Why would you say that! IMO bristlies are one of the best looking plecs!! They look like they would kick fancy a$$ed plecs any day! It looks like a tank!!*thumbsups

Pray. ;) Well really just keep on hand a mass amount of sponge filters and be prepared for massive water changes if need be. An RO unit even durring a "boil" order will make pretty much even nuked water safe.

Steavie, L183s are BNs, yes there is such a thing as fancy BNs. ;)

the only half interesting plec i've ever had was an albino bristlenose, but i didnt take any pics, so you'll have to use your imagination ;)

i also had a sailfin for a bit, but had to get rid of him for obvious reasons.

Nothing to contribute yet since I lost Herbie, my common, but I will VERY SOON! :D

Pure, I am tempted to run back to the LFS and snatch up the 4-6" royal they have for $25, should I? LOL I have nowhere to put him though, although I am sure if I REALLY wanted to, I could find a place, or ship him off to you! LOL

Should be adding to this thread Sunday, can't wait! :)

i went to my petco today because they get new shipments on wednesdays and I'm curious to see what they get in and to my surprise they had one chocolate albino pleco so i felt bad because the other plecs where picking on him.so i bought him hes about 2 1/2" long and he has a split tail fin.will that heal by its self or should i get meds?
