Cool, since this is my First Sw tank thats all i really wanted for now . if i wanted to keep other stuff like clams and sps and high demand other stuff . Ill upgrade later after i learn the basics.


so ill just get that light its cheap . and ill replace the lights in it after 6 months , i think the badest thing about those lights fixtures is the bulbs ?

too bad i hasnot in fort lauderdale or ill buy that light off you . shipping will probaly be outragest . and could break .

plus that fact odysea is known to catch on fire :eek: i think theyve over come that problem by now plus that was in there MH's... good luck with it though *SUPERSMIL

btw one thing ive learned is that its better to buy the right stuff the first time and save $$ in the long run

You can buy a better brand name light for $150 for the 2x65w pc. I think I just boughgt an outer orbit 2x65 for $90 on ebay. The bulbs are cheap too....

Yes I like the currnet outer orbit 2x65 ? I cant find it for that price thou ? Was it New ? so you say the bulbs still are cheapo on this model also ?

I can get a coralife Aqaulight lunar 2x65 for like $150 shipped . Why would it be better to speand on this unit ?

I want to maybe buy this light tonight if you guys say its a good light ? Anywhere i can get it cheaper ? new only . Thanks

Ok , Iam going get a Current Orbit 2x65 light system .

Now what about Flow ? I have not gotton any power heads yet .

All i have for flow is a Aquaclear 500 which will be turned into a fuge soon , So flow will be reduced in this unit .

what else whould i get ? what whould you get ?


p.s. the rio 200 already makes noise , and is gona be used only for my salt mixing power head .

Gona place a order tonight .

Thanks TRe , I Placed my Heatter in my aquaclear 500 . On the bottom lying down . is this ok ? It really cleans up my tank heres a pic ...
























Funds tied up till wensday . gona get that stuff above then.

I really want to test my water for PH and other's . would a LFS test them for me ? if i brought in some water ?

When should i do my first water change how much ?

Most LFS will do a test for you. Some will charge a little. Call and ask before you go.

You don't really need to do a water change until the cycle is finished. A 10% weekly change should be enough, assuming your nitrates are low (less than 10ppm).
