Last week I had added a cleanup crew and it has been one week. I check yesterday and all the water parameters where fine

Ammonia - 0.00 ppm
Nitrite - 0.00 ppm
Nitrate - 0.00 ppm
Ph - 8.2
salinity 1.025
temp is 79 F

My question is.. Do i need to do a 25% weekly water change because it has been 1 week since i got the clean up crew? Everything seems to be fine just wanted to know that. Help Please. Hopefully somebody will reply or I guess I will have to create a new thread.

I am not a SW guy but I say if everything is good, then leave it alone. If you are really bored then you can do one.

I am not that bored that I need to do a water change. I still have to prepare the water a night before was just asking cuz live rocks uses trace elements and other elements which come with the salt in a water change. So anybody who is a SW guy help.

You can also look at it like this: It isnt going to hurt anything.

Thats actually true. I actually don't want to do a water change but if it is important for the live rock then I will do it. Just wanted to know at what point should i do water changes in the SW tank or I just have to do weekly 25% water changes no matter what.

now I would just be doing either weekly or bi-weekly water changes...normal routine for SW.

Thank god. So what do you suggest? Should I do a water change now or I can do one next week. I don't have any corals in my tank. only the cleanup crew. Although i might get 2 clowns by next week.

cute crab. they are pretty funny to watch. mine used to sit at the front glass and then try to run away really fast when i walked in.he would also reach and wave his claws wildy while trying to reach a piece of krill that i feed him. if you want your coraline to grow faster you can do weekly WCs instead of bi-weekly.

I just spotted 3 tiny flower like things white in color on the rock and as soon as i go near it just goes in. After a few seconds it comes out. Any ideas. I was able to get some pics.

Thanks. I don't know if I am lucky or not. They are awesome though. They go in when i tap the glass. I just did 2-3 G water change. I wanted to know one thing. I had the water already ready from last friday. Is it ok? I know you are supposed to prepare the water one day before and let it age for a few hours. Is it ok if mine was aging for 1 week?

yes it should be fine, as far as letting water "age" if you have time for it, sure go ahead, but personally, I don't let my water age at all, just mix it up, get it to temp and add it, and that was the way we did it at the lfs I worked at....been doing it for years now with no negative side effects....but to each their own.

Update !!! Pictures.

My blue hermit crabs were getting a little aggresive so I bout them new HOMES from ebay. It was a pretty good deal i think for $2.00 i got 36 shells.

Well 2 of them have already changed to there new homes. Pretty awesome.

These are few of the shells left over.

I placed the empty shells at the back.

One of the crab in his new home.

This is the other guy in his new Home.

And the last but not least is my emerald crab. who was out strolling so I snapped him. He looks angry.

Enjoy! Sorry about the poor quality of the pics. Was in a hurry!
